Today is April 30th and I weigh 131.6lbs, so I don’t weigh 130lbs yet, but as you can tell from the photo above I am rather slim!  Mike and I went to the mall, so I could buy new jeans.  Buying new clothes really highlighted my success especially since I can fit into a size 4 jean!  Lately, I’ve been wearing all my old clothes and they cover up what I’ve lost, so the new clothes really made me aware of how skinny I am.  😀  Also, I bought a size medium shirt from a store that I would usually buy a size XL from! 

I consider my weightloss goal a success and I thank you all for coming along on the ride, especially Rosemarie who knows what I went through and who provided constant encouragement.  Of course Mike was equally helpful as far as encouragement goes, so thanks to you too.  I also want to thank John for sharing positive views on everything in this process.  YIPPEE!  I am skinny and I did it in such a way I will be able to maintain it!

Menu – coffee, 3 scoops of yogurt with granola, 3 ryvita crackers with hummus and cheese, sunflower seeds, half a banana, grapes, 1 date, 1 more date, salad, chicken, 2 strawberries, 2 more strawberries, another strawberry

Exercise – walked about 10K with Sheena, laundry
April 21st, 2009 -133.4lbs

Menu – coffee, smoothie, apple, carrots, cucumber, salad with chicken, 4 dates, pita, popsicle

Exercise – walked to and from work, took stairs at work

April 22nd, 2009 -133.4lbs

Menu – smoothie, coffee, apple, cucumber, carrots, almonds, sandwich, 2 dates, 3 apricots, 2 strawberries, wine, cheese, pasta with chicken and tomato sauce

Exercise – walked to and from work, took stairs at work, gym

April 23rd, 2009 -132.2lbs

Menu – coffee, smoothie, apple, cucumber, carrots, almonds, pasta with sauce, brocolli, chicken, 2 dates, tea with cream and honey, tequila sunrise… somehow didn’t write the rest down??

Exercise – walked to and from work, took stairs at work, did 1/2 workout at gym, shopping

April 24th, 2009 -132.2lbs

Menu – coffee, cereal, grapefruit, apple, carrots, leftover pasta with sauce, wrap, 2 dates, tuna melt

Exercise – walked to and from work, took stairs at work, 1 hour at the gym

April 25th, 2009 -132.2lbs

Menu – coffee, cereal with yogurt, apple, banana, orange, almonds, carrots, tomatos, oatmeal, 2 dates, 2 prunes, rice with chicken and peppers, brocolli, wine, coffee

Exercise – walked to and from work, took stairs at work, gym for one hour

April 26th, 2009 -132lbs

Menu – date, coffee, cereal/yogurt, grapefruit, 2 dates, almonds, apricots, 2 dates, 2 tomatos, celery, tuna melt, tequila sunrise, chicken, beans, potatos, tasty beverage, pineapple, shreddies with chocolate spread, popsicle

Exercise – hiked 13KM at a fast pace

April 27th, 2009 -131lbs

Menu – coffee, smoothie, sunflower seeds, apricots, tea with honey, 1 english muffin with jam, chicken, potatos and beans so far…

Exercise – laundry so far…

I’ve never mentioned this before but chewing gum helps me get through the day without snacking because it gives me a flavor/sugar hit in only 3 calories.

I am almost at my goal weight and it is almost the deadline I set!  😮

Parties are bad news but so fun!

We had a party this weekend and I ate alot of junk food, plus I drank enough alcohol to have a hangover the next day!  I didn’t go up in weight the day after the party but I went up in weight today because of the party.  I have a dark gloom hovering over me because I weigh more than I did on the 10th of this month; nevertheless, I will persevere and lose all the weight I intended to lose by the end of this month.

If it interests you, here are my weights, menus and execise logs for last week:

April 16th, 2009 – 134.6lbs

Menu – coffee, yogurt and granola, apple, almonds, carrots, baby tomatos, oatmeal, 3 ryvita crackers with cheese, 2 dates, kraft dinner (proper portion size), chicken, brocolli, tequila

Exercise – walked to and from work, took stairs at work, went to the gym for an hour, laundry, shopping

April 17th, 2009 – 133.8lbs

Menu – coffee, smoothie, apple, almonds, carrots, tomatos, 2 dates, leftover kraft dinner, chicken, brocolli, 2 teas, chicken burger, date

Exercise – walk to and from work, stairs at work, gym, walked around the mall

April 18th, 2009 – 133.8lbs

Menu – coffee, yogurt with cereal, apple, almonds, carrots, tea, tomatos, burger, 2 dates, chips, chocolate, shots, drinks, gummies, veggies, fruit

Exercise – walked to and from work, took stairs at work, gym

April 19th, 2009 – 133.6lbs

Menu – coffee, cereal, bread with tomato and mayo, dates, chocolate raisins, fruit, veggies with hummus, half a subway sub

Exercise – walked with Mike (shopping)

April 20th, 2009 – 135.6lbs

Exercise – will go for a walk/hike with Sheena later today

As I get closer to reaching my goal I think about how I will maintain my weightloss and I think it should be easy because I will contiue to eat the way I have for the last 4 months, but during parties like I had this weekend I show very limited control around food, so I will have to be very careful in my maintenance.

So, there we go, I am all caught up.  I am almost 130lbs and it is almost April 30th, which is very exciting.  My stomach looks SO flat!  🙂

Mike and I noticed a difference in my tummy, shoulders, bum, face and hair!  What do you think?

I am so close to reaching my goal of 130lbs.  I feel great but I am thinking I might want to weigh even less than 130lbs.  According to the BMI I can go as low as 104.5lbs, which would leave me looking emaciated but maybe 120lbs?  We’ll see how I feel at the end of the month I guess.

Snowboarding: A Great Weightloss Activity

March 20th, 2009 – 139.4lbs

Menu – coffee, granola with yogurt and flax, apple, almonds, fish cake with pasta and peas, tomatos, carrots, 2 strawberries, 2 grapes, 1 cracker, 1 pickle, cheese, tomato, chicken burger

Exercise – walked to and from work, took stairs at work, 1 hour at gym

March 21st, 2009 – 139.4lbs

Menu – coffee, yogurt with granola, apple, almonds, chicken burger, carrots, tomato, 2 dried apricots, noddles with chicken and beans, 1 sip of Mike’s tasty beverage

Exercise – walked and from work, took stairs at work, 1 hour at gym

March 22nd, 2009 – 138.6lbs

Menu – coffee, cereal with granola, 1 grapefruit, 2 crackers, Irish Cream, beans with pasta and chicken, 2 cups of tea, wraps with beans and soy beef, red pepper, diet coke

Exercise – snowboarding!

March 23rd, 2009 – 137.6lbs

Menu – coffee, cereal with yogurt, 1 grapefruit, 2 dried apricots, 2 pieces of bread with taco toppings on top, cheerios with milk and raisins

Exercise – laundry, raked the lawn

March 23rd isn’t over yet though, so stay tuned for more details!

I tried on a white skirt that hasn’t fit for years and it fits now; in fact, it actually even fits loose!

When I snowboard I am so concious of my core strength because of all the ab work I do at the gym, so do ab work because it feel so good!

Anywho, I off to burn some calories while playing video games.  :p
